TheTakarabako Obake areenemies inLuigi's Mansion 3. They aretreasure chests brought to life by magentaSpirit Balls. They will remain stationary, snarling and constantly trying to bite the player; however, it can only hurt them and make them lose 20 HP if they get too close. A Takarabako Obake can be defeated from using thePoltergust G-00 to grab and then shoot an object at the Takarabako Obake to daze it. Alternatively,Gooigi orLuigi can be eaten by the Takarabako Obake, which drops its guard while it chews on him, so then the other player can vacuum the Spirit Balls, turning the Takarabako Obake into a regular treasure chest.
