Super Wariroido is a form thatWario andMario take inSuper Mario-kun, in chapter 5 ofVolume 10 and chapter 4 ofVolume 11 respectively (although Mario's version does not get its own name). In this form, they donSamus' Power Suit and are able to use the same powers she uses in her games. This form was created to promote the release ofSuper Metroid.
In Volume 10, at the end of theMario & Wario story arc, after hisBulldog is taken down, Wario uses the pieces to make a Power Suit and become Super Wariroido. Due to the weight of both him and the suit, he sinks to waist level in the ground. Mario,Luigi,Yoshi, andBowser-Wanda jump on him, but Wario keeps them away with hisArm Cannon until he runs out of ammunition, eventually resorting to using his farts. Wario entersMorph Ball mode and start rolling towards Mario to hit him. When Mario tries to kick him, he ends up hurting his foot. Right then, the Bowser-Wanda fusion spell expires and Bowser picks up Wario, but he sets himself free by activating some spikes on his Morph Ball surface, making Bowser drop him. Wanda gives Mario aBlock Buster and, with that, Mario is able to defeat Super Wariroido, destroying his suit. Wario happily surrenders (as the adventure was a test for Mario to deem him worthy to be his companion in theWario Land: Super Mario Land 3 story arc) and help the heroes by removing hisbucket fromPrincess Peach's head.
In Volume 11, during the beginning of theWario Land: Super Mario Land 3 arc, Mario feels jealous ofBull Wario's strength and finds a Super Metroid Box, a vending machine that can grant him the Power Suit for 10 seconds acoin. Mario takes the Power Suit for 100 coins, but with the suit weighing him down, he resorts to removing it and storing away the helmet. While climbing a cliff, Mario and Yoshi are pestered by aWatch and Mario manages to defeat it by wearing the helmet right as it attacks, breaking the Watch's beak, and then puts the helmet on the enemy, confusing it. Mario then tosses10 Gold Coins at the Watch, defeating it.
