Thefree update for the Super Mario Odyssey game adds anew online minigame, new outfits forMario, andnew filters forSnapshot Mode.
Afterdownloading the update andbeating the main story,Luigi (Mario’s bro in green) will now show up in different kingdoms to give Mario a new challenge. To startBalloon World (Internet access required)*, you can seek out Luigi and have a nice chat with him. There are two modes in Balloon World:“Hide It” mode lets you hide a balloon somewhere in that kingdom, while“Find It” mode challenges you to find balloons hidden by other players from around the world. If you get good at hiding and finding balloons, you’ll also move up the online rankings!
Balloon World isn’t the only update:new outfits for Mario andnew filters for Snapshot Mode have also been added. You can check out the different options, including anewCoin filter for a gold mine of photo ops.
If your game hasn’t updated yet, you can update it manually by highlighting the game icon on the Home Menu, pressing the + Button, and selecting Software Update. Internet connection required.
