Plot synopsis[edit]

The book starts with the reader being welcomed to theMushroom Kingdom. The book then describesPrincess Peach and howBowser is plotting something against the kingdom, and introducesMario,Luigi, andYoshi. The book describes theToads and various enemies such asPiranha Plants,Buzzy Beetles,Spinies,Koopa Troopas,Lakitus,Koopa Paratroopas,Chain Chomps, andGoombas. The book then describes theKoopalings,Bowser Jr., and the power-ups (Super Mushroom,Fire Flower, andSuper Star). The book ends with Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, andToad defeating Bowser, who gets away in anairship.
