TheSuper Mario Bros. Trading Cards were a series of collectible trading cards based on the 1993Super Mario Bros. film. They were released over the summer and winter of 1993, with a total of 101 regular cards and 3 hologram ones. The summer release cards have yellow text, while the winter release has a light blue text. The summer release was produced by the now defunctSkyBox International, while the winter release was released by defunct Australian company Dynamic Marketing. The cards feature high quality images, both screen caps from the film itself and some behind the scenes photographs.

Some of the cards feature content cut from the final film. There is a deleted scene whereSpike andIggy rap at theBoom Boom Bar that receives its own card. Two deleted scene cards involveMario andLuigi arguing with Mike and Doug ofScapelli Construction regarding how long a job at the Riverfront Cafe would take.Toad's hologram card erroneously calls him "Lemmy" on the front, though it is corrected on the back. This is due to Toad being named Lemmy in earlier drafts of the film.

#7		Slimy Scoundrels	"From the crooked company of Scapelli Construction, plumbers Doug and Mike arrive at the Riverfront Cafe to beat the Mario Bros. out of a job. These guys are slimier than worms in oil, but the cafe owner knows that you don't say "no" to Scapelli."
#8		Nobody Touches My Tools	"Only someone with a death wish would dare to stand up to Scapelli's cronies -- unless it's Mario Mario, who has a pet peeve about being pushed around. He tells Doug and Mike Scapelli, "You don't know a pipe from a crowbar."
#9		2 Days or 2 Hours	"Shifty-eyed Doug and Mike tell the Rivertfront Cafe's owner, Pascal, that it's a two-day job. "A two-hour job," counters honest Mario. But Pascal, stuck with a leaky dishwasher and a desire to live past tomorrow, hands the gig to Scapelli's sinister scoundrels."
#10		Scapelli	"Anthony Scapelli really knows how to make an entrance. Delivered by limo and flanked by his loyal, well-dressed sidekicks, the owner of Scapelli Construction arrives at a digging site by the East River to check out the progress of his latest project."
#11		Daisy	"Brave, bright and determined to do her job, Daisy supervises a student archaeological dig at the Scapelli construction site. Of course, her bone-digging project is holding up Scapelli's fun and games, and she knows it. She just doesn't particularly care."

#13		Daisy Calls For Help	"At the excavation site, Scapelli is making trouble, so Daisy looks for a phone to call for help. However, when Daisy arrives, someone else is on the phone -- Luigi. In an entranced state after meeting Daisy, Luigi offers to give her a ride back to the excavation site."
#14		Bella Napoli	"Mario and his girlfriend, Daniella, Luigi and his new-found fascination, Daisy, make for a lively foursome at the Bella Napoli Restaurant. Over saucy Italian cuisine, they discuss the finer points of life: jobs, tans and prehistoric rocks."
#15		The Pendant	"Over dinner with her new friends, Daisy reveals the strange circumstances of her beginnings: how 20 years ago, she was abandoned in a bundle on the steps of St. Teresa's with nothing but a rock pendant -- which, to this day, she has never removed."
#16		Daniella is Kidnapped	"Mario watches as Daniella safely enters her apartment building. But "safely" isn't always safe enough: just as Mario drives away, dimwits Spike and Iggy, mistaking Daniella for Daisy, follow her inside. And no one is there to hear Daniella's screams."
#17		Excavation by Moonlight	"Maybe it isn't the most romantic spot for a first date, but Luigi and Daisy don't care. They make cozy conversation by flashlight as she gives him a tour of the excavation site. "I've been drawn to this stuff all my life," she confides to him."
#18		Fossils & Friendship	"Exploring the depths of the excavation site by night, Daisy shares with Luigi the wonders of fossils. She seems almost obsessed with dinosaur bones, holding up ancient fingers and jaws. Luigi, on the other hand, seems obsessed with Daisy."
#19		Scapelli's Sabotage	"Deep inside the dark tunnel of bones and dirt, Daisy and Luigi accidentally discover the latest Scapelli wrongdoing -- sabotage! The bad-boy plumbers have gotten to the pump room and now water is seeping in, threatening to flood Daisy's pet project."
#20		Strap On Your Belt, Kid!	"Who can stem the tide of flood waters from reaching the precious archaeological treasures of the dig site? Mario Mario, of course! Daisy and Luigi fetch the expert plumber, who dons his toolbelt like a gun holster. The three then race back to the site."
#21		Daisy is Kidnapped	"Still trying to fix the tunnel pump, Mario and Luigi never saw what hit 'em -- namely,Spike andIggy. With the Mario boys taken care of, the thugs turn to Daisy and drag her, kicking and screaming, ever deeper into the tunnel."
#22		Where is Daisy?	"Mario and Luigi regain consciousness, only to realize that Daisy has disappeared somewhere inside the tunnel. Suddenly, they hear her scream, and take off after the voice. The search leads them to the end of the tunnel -- and to the entrance of a dark cave."
#23		A Not-So-Dead End	"Still in pursuit of the kidnapped Daisy, the Mario Bros. rush into the cave, then stop. Daisy's screams seem to be coming from inside a solid rock wall! Or maybe not so solid. The rock ripples and, to the guys' amazement, they are sucked through!"
#24		The Excavation Site	"Mario & Luigi are about to be sucked through a rock wall into a meteorite chamber. With scarcely a chance to take in their surroundings, they will soon be off again, having spotted Daisy being dragged into another tunnel."
#25		Koopa Square	"No way could Mario and Luigi know that the tunnel they're traveling out of is actually a subway tunnel leading into another city! Fact is, these New York -- bred boys are too busy arguing to notice anything unusual."
#26		"Where Are We?"	"Finally reaching the top of the subway ramp, the Mario Bros. get an eyeful of Koopa Square, a strange, sprawling city similar to Manhattan, except with mass quantities of fungus everywhere. "This is dis-gusting," notes Mario."
#27		In Hot Pursuit	"Looking down from their perch atop the subway platform, Mario and Luigi spot Daisy down on the street. Seeing them, she calls out desperately, but is abruptly yanked into a waiting taxi. The guys yell after her, attempting to chase the cab."
#28		A "Parallel Dimension?"	"Down on Koopa Square, the Mario boys begin to suspect they're not in Brooklyn anymore. For one thing, the "hot dog" stands serve lizards-on-buns and snakes-on-a-stick! "Maybe it's a parallel dimension," says Luigi, but even he can't believe that!"
#29		Koopa	"Meet the head honcho of the alternate world, Koopa! Sinister, single-minded and just plain not-nice, the city's only politician has big plans to merge his barren world with the lush world of humans and other mammals -- then rule them both!"
#30		Lena	"Behind every corrupt, reptilian politician, there's a corrupt, reptilian woman, and in this case it's Lena. Whether it's Koopa himself or Koopa's all-encompassing power that Lena loves, who knows? But it's clear she plans to be first lady forever!"
#31		Spike & Iggy Return	"Supercreeps Spike & Iggy happily report back to their boss, Koopa, that their mission has been successful. The two bungling henchman have captured Daisy, the "princess," who unknowingly possesses the power to merge the parallel worlds!"
#32		Get Those Plumbers	"Koopa is enraged when his nitwit assistants Spike & Iggy fail to secure Daisy's rock pendant. Apparently, the rock is a piece of an ancient meteorite with special powers. "The plumbers took it," explains Spike. So, now Koopa is out to get Mario and Luigi!"
#33		Just A Little Old Lady	"What could be worse for Luigi and Mario than being lost and lonely in eerie Koopa Square? Being held up by a little old lady with a "stun stick," that's what! But since the guys' dollars are useless in her world, the feisty senior goes for... the pendant!"
#34		Bertha	"A vision of meanness in red leather, it's Bertha who chases off the pendant-stealing old lady. That's the good news. The bad news is, it's also Bertha who re-steals the pendant from the Mario boys, then takes off -- literally -- in her flying footwear."
#35		"Who Called The Cops?"	"Protest songs against Koopa are illegal, and a clubbing from the police is one street musician's punishment. But when the same nasty cops spot Mario and Luigi -- the plumbers Koopa is after -- their nightsticks really begin to fly!"
#36		Daisy Meets Koopa	"Now that Koopa has Daisy as his prisoner, all he needs is the pendant. "I need to find some friends of yours -- plumbers," he says charmingly. But Daisy knows that helping Koopa will only hurt her -- and her friends. So, she pre-tends to know nothing."
#37		De-fungusing	"What happened to frisking and fingerprinting? Arrested by koopa's cruel cops, Mario and Luigi are instead subjected to sprays and powders used to "de-fungus" suspects. Not only are the guys embarrassed -- unfortunately, they're also ticklish!"
#38		Locked Up	"Plumbers in prison?! Just tourists in this bizarre world, the Mario Bros. still don't know what crime they may have committed. Yet, left to stew at one end of a long, dark cell block, they have no choice but to wait and find out."
#39		Toad Explains It All	"Fellow inmate Toad reveals the unbelievable truth to Mario and Luigi -- that they are visitors in another dimension, created millions of years ago when a meteor blasted the earth into two separate worlds. Now, that's reason to feel homesick!"
#40		The Women's Dorm	"While being held captive by Koopa's "Goombas," the women prisoners are greeted by a new arrival: Daisy. Confused and frightened, she's glad to spot Daniella, Mario's girlfriend, who was kidnapped from the Big Apple only hours earlier."
#41		Koopa Plays Lawyer	"What's this? The ever-slimy, lizard-like leader, Koopa, posing as a kind-hearted lawyer named "Larry Lazard"? What's more, he's out to convince Mario and Luigi that they're in good hands. But that's gonna take an award-winning performance!"
#42		Lost and Confused	"Mario and Luigi would like to know one thing: What is going on here? They're locked up in a fungus-infested jail for who knows why, and now some guy calling himself "Larry Lazard" is claiming to be their lawyer. "Who sent you?" Mario asks."
#43		No More Talk	"Koopa's true sinister nature reveals itself the minute he asks Luigi and Mario for Daisy's meteorite pendant. "The what?" Luigi responds innocently. And Koopa, not taking "the what" for an answer, is ready to choke Mario!"
#44		The De-Evolution Chamber	"What unthinkable horrors await those who must visit Koopa's "de-evolution chamber"? Dragged to this unearthly place by two gun-wielding guards, Mario, Luigi and their musician friend Toad look as thought they are about to find out!"
#45		Toad Goes "Goomba"!	"Toad is the first to undergo "treatment" in Koopa's de-evolution chamber. Strapped to a chair and locked in a pod, he "de-evolves" by 65 million years. The result? Toad is now one of Koopa's reptilian tribe of guards -- the Goombas!"
#46		The Tables Are Turned	"And now for a little game of musical chairs! Captives Mario and Luigi shove the evil Koopa into his own chamber of horrors, saving themselves from being de-evolved in the process. Is Koopa on his way back to "Prehistoria"?"
#47		Making Tracks	"Racing down the hallways of police headquarters (all the while surrounded by growing strings of creeping fungus), Mario and Luigi struggles to escape Koopa's clutches. Finally, they spot an exit -- or to be exact, five exits! Which to take?"
#48		Sibling Car Thieves?	"Hordes of Goombas hot on their trail, the brothers have but one choice: -- to duck inside a police car and head for the hills. With half the parallel universe chasing after them, this is going to take some serious New York City -- style driving!"
#49		Koopahari Tunnel	"A wild escape from Koopa's Goombas send the Mario Bros. speeding in their stolen squad car into the notorious Koopahari Desert Tunnel. Pitch-black and thick with fungus, the tunnel has yet another disturbing trait -- it ends rather abruptly!"
#50		Let's Get Smart	"Sorely lacking in the brains department, Spike & Iggy are going to need some extra help to complete their assignment. So, their clever-but-cold-blooded boss Koopa decides to take them on a little trip -- up the evolutionary scale, intelligence-wise!"
#51		Koopa Confronts Daisy	"Koopa tells Daisy, "You belong here," as she backs away from him in disgust. Although she has no use for the scaly scoundrel, she can't help but wonder at his claiming to know the identity of her parents. Are they here somewhere, in this odd universe?"
#52		Yoshi	"If a dog is man's best friend, then Yoshi, a baby Tyrannosaurus Rex, is Daisy's. Somehow this pet from the Koopa clan seems to sense Daisy's distress over being held prisoner. Of course, he would help her get away, if only he could. Could he?"
#53		Spike & Iggy at Bay	"Still breaking in their new-and-improved brains, Spike and Iggy are hot on the trail of the runaway plumbers. Over hill, over dune, they hit the dusty desert and, sure enough, catch sight of Mario and Luigi. The sand is about to fly!"
#54		Sludge-Gulpers	"Tracking down a meteorite pendant calls for special transportation, and an enormous "sludge-gulper" proves the perfect vehicle as the newly-formed team of Mario, Luigi, Spike and Iggy set out together to seek out the all-important rock."
#55		The Boom-Boom Bar	"A frantic search for the rock pendant sends Spike, Iggy and the Mario Bros. to a loud and wild dance club called the Boom-Boom Bar. Somewhere among these boisterous boogie-ers is Bertha, the last person to be seen with the pendant."
#56		Shall We Dance?	"On the dance floor of the Boom-Boom Bar, Mario attempts a near-impossible mission. He must keep his dance partner Bertha so busy whirlin' and twirlin' that she doesn't notice him swiping the rock pendant off of her massively-muscled neck!"
#57		The Spike & Iggy Rap	"It's showtime! Spike and Iggy, inspired by their new do-good plumber pals Mario and Luigi -- not to mention way too much to drink -- perform a protest rap front-and-center at the Boom Boom Bar. "Koopa, the party Poopa!" they sing with gusto."
#58		Dancing the Dactyl	"Hoping to hide from Koopa's invading Goombas at the Boom-Boom Bar, Mario and Luigi try to blend in with the dancers by joining them in their favorite number, the Dactyl. But not knowing any of the dance steps, they're pretty easy targets!"
#59		Lena Has the Power	"Cornered! Koopa's loyal lady friend Lena, assisted by the tireless Goombas, has managed to snatch the precious pendant from Mario and Luigi. Now that she has the rock, she must deliver it -- and the brothers -- back to Koopa. But will she?"
#60		Bertha Bails 'Em Out	"Talk about help from unexpected places! Love-struck Bertha comes to Mario and Luigi's rescue as they attempt to flee Lena's evil clutches. Handing them two pairs of "Thwomp Stomper" boots, Bertha gives the guys the means to take flight!"
#61		A Mushy Landing	"Propelled by the powerful forces of their flying footwear, the Mario Bros. whoosh wildly into the night sky over the streets of Koopa Square. Fortunately, they land safely -- right on the back of a garbage-filled sludge-gulper. Yuck!"
#62		Big Plans!	"The brothers sneak into the boiler room at Koopa Tower, plotting to somehow get the rock pendant back from Lena and rescue Daisy at the same time. Impossible? Luigi doesn't think so. "Unlikely, improbable... but not impossible," he says."
#63		The Elevator	"Going up? Searching the halls and floors of Koopa Tower, Mario and Luigi discover an elevator. But it proves no easy ride, as Goomba after Goomba enter and the brothers must do some fancy footwork to avoid being spotted by the ready reptiles."
#64		Yoshi to the Rescue	"Lassie, move over; here comes Yoshi! Daisy, very nearly strangled by the jealous and hateful Lena, is saved at the last minute by no other than this tender Tyrannosaurus Rex. And, thanks to Yoshi, Daisy finally sees her big chance to escape."
#65		Daisy & the Rebels	"Daisy, having escaped from Koopa's room, dashes down the hallways of the tower, only to run smack into Spike and Iggy! "You miserable low-lifes!" she sneers angrily. But she's about to discover that the two former goons are now on her side."
#66		The Secret Revealed	"Spike and Iggy lead Daisy into the Fungus Room of Koopa Tower, where she is about to learn the amazing truth: The dripping cone of fungus inside is the old King, who formerly ruled this dimension. That fungus cone also happens to be Daisy's father!"
#67		The Ventilation Shaft	"Clinging to the insides of Koopa Tower's ventiliation shaft, Mario and Luigi hear Daisy's voice echoing through the draft walls. Now all they have to do is follow the voice, find Daisy and run for their lives back to their own dimension. Easy, right?"
#68		Luigi's Flying Leap	"It's an impossible jump, but Luigi shows little fear as he leaps over the deadly ventilation shaft in Koopa Tower. And... he makes it! No, wait -- he's only halfway there, dangling in mid-air. How can it be? Encouraged, Mario decides to try, but..."
#69		Family Pride	"Perhaps it's no time for a fight, but brothers Mario and Luigi argue while teetering dangerously on the brink of splattering death inside the ventilation shaft. Finally, brotherly love is restored when Luigi insists, "I do have family pride.""
#70		The Girls Spot a Savior	"Guarded by Goombas in their dingy dormitory, Brooklyn's kidnapped females -- including Mario's girlfriend Daniella -- spot Mario signaling silently from the hallway above. "Shhh," he's trying to say, but Brooklyn girls are not used to being quiet!"
#71		Mario Swings In	"Thinking fast, Mario makes like Tarzan and swings across the dormitory, knocking out a Goomba holding five females hostage. "Didn't I tell you my Mario would be here?" beams Daniella. But there's little time for rejoicing -- they gotta scram!"
#72		The Ice Slide	"With a mattress as their magic carpet, Mario and the Brooklyn girls take advantage of the ice-encrusted duct inside Koopa Tower's ventilation system and swoosh through the bowels of the building at breakneck speed. Down, down, down..."
#73		Massing For Invasion	"All points lead to the subway, wherein lies the tunnel that connects both dimensions. Here, the heavily-armed Koopa and his Goombas meet Luigi and Daisy, Mario, Daniella and the other Brooklyn girls. It's time for the final showdown."
#74		End of the Road	"Mario and the girls pop out of the ice slide smack into the middle of Koopa square. When Koopa sees them, he gloats, "Too late humans -- looks like I win," aiming his "devo" gun at Mario first. But the plucky plumbers figures he has nothing to lose and fights back."
#75		The Fungus Among Us	"It's a fungal fight to the finish! With Luigi, Daisy, Daniella and some friendly fungus assisting him, Mario pits himself against Koopa and his monstrous marksmen. He must somehow get the magical meteorite piece out of Koopa's evil clutches!"
#76		Lena Becomes Energized	"Lena, diving for the falling pendant, lands on top of a power grid and -- snap, crackle, pop -- she's energized! Now a frizzy-haired french fry, she takes off in a frenzy for the meteorite chamber, the precious rock in her hot hands."
#77		A Trick Up His Sleeve	"It's a battle of wits as Mario and Koopa confront each other face to face, showdown-style. In Koopa's hand is a deadly flame-thrower. In Mario's hand is a simple leather shoelace, which Koopa believes is tied around the rock pendant."
#78		Lena Disintegrates	"Her moment of power has come at least -- or so Lena thinks! She slips the rock from Daisy's pendant into it's prehistoric place in the meteorite chamber. But, unable to release the rock, she is overcome by energy waves and -- POOF! -- Lena disintegrates."
#79		Back in the Real World	"The Brooklyn girls have escaped from Koopa's world back to their own, but none of the waiting, questioning reporters believes the girls' story. "Rescued by plumbers?" they laugh. "Not just an plumbers, the Mario Bros!" Daniella points out."
#80		Invasion!	"All is still not right with the world -- the real world, that is -- as Koopa's reptilian dimension creeps in, building by building, Goomba by Goomba. Laughing madly, koopa wields his de-evolution gun and prepares to do his horrifying work."
#81		Materialized in Brooklyn	"The merging of the two dimensions is fully underway! One minute Mario and Koopa are facing off on the streets of Koopa Square. The next, they are shimmering out of existence, only to be re-materialized at the excavation site in Brooklyn, New York."
#82		The Mushroom	"After diving to the ground to avoid the blast of Koopa's devo gun, Mario reaches for a weapon with which to defend himself. As it turns out, all he can find inside his toolbelt is a mushroom. "Trust the fungus!" he pronounces hopefully."
#83		Monkey Business	"Divine justice! Koopa fires his devo gun at Mario, but the quick-thinking plumber ducks and the beam catches Scapelli! De-evolutionized down to a chimpanzee, the sleazy leader of Scapelli Construction now resembles a cheap circus act."
#84		A Pull of the Pendant	"There's only one way to halt the invasion of the reptilian dimension -- by removing the rock pendant from its place in the wall. Using wrenches and pips, Luigi's plumbing training comes in handy, as he and Daisy work together inside the meteorite chamber."
#85		Koopa Gets His	"Now that the merging of the dimensions has been halted, there's another order of business -- to keep Koopa from trying any futureshenanigans! Out on the streets of Koopa Square, Mario takes aim with a devo gun: The beam hits Koopa dead-on."
#86		Koopa Regresses	"Mario, Luigi and Daisy barrage Koopa with beams from their devo guns, then watch the hideous result: Koopa regresses down past a Tyrannosaurus Rex, all the way down to the bottom of the evolutionary scale -- slime."
#87		Hip, Hip, Hooray!	"The population of Koopa Square gives a mighty cheer as they watch their former leader dissolve into near-nothingness. With Koopaa mere memory, they are finally free. Even the monstrous Goombas can't resist a little victory dance!"
#88		The Fungus is Avenged	"Koopa is gone and the fungus of Koopa Square has been avenged. Slowly, the slimy stuff recedes, until it has finally disappeared into the cracks of the sidewalks. In place of the fungus now springs a glorious fountain of life-giving liquid-water!"
#89		Sad Goodbyes	"It's time to return to good ol' New York, but Daisy has other ideas. "I can't go yet," she says, explaining that her family roots are still in Koopa Square. So Luigi, along with Mario and Daniella, must bid Princess Daisy a fond farewell."
#90		Daisy's Back	"Weeks after their amazing adventure, Mario and Luigi are relaxing at home when suddenly, Daisy bursts through their door! "You've got to help me!" she cries. So, strapping on their toolbelts, the Mario Bros. prepare for... who knows what?"
#91		A Brilliant Idea	"Whatever became of Spike and Iggy? The two idiots-turned-geniuses get a great idea! They figure, wouldn't their adventures in the other world make an incredible Nintendo video game? Hmmm... definitely something to think about."
#92		Vehicles	"In order to create the many wild and comical cars seen in SUPER MARIO BROS., the production team commissioned artists to create illustrations of the vehicles needed. These production drawings were used to modify "real" vehicles to look like the crazy cars of Koopa's dino-world."
#93		Characters	"Because of the many different "creatures" that are a part of the SUPER MARIO BROS. world, a great deal of time was spent adapting these characters to fit a live-action film.Seen here is an early production sketch of a Goomba, with a more colorful uniform than those finally used."
