TheSunken Ship is a location that appears inSuper Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars andits Nintendo Switch remake. According to the notes scattered throughout the ship, it sank when the giantBlooper,King Calamari, attacked it. Before the ship sank completely, the crew managed to seal King Calamari in the treasure cellar. The ship has two portions, an upper one and a lower one, and the treasure cellar is between both.

The upper portion is filled with undead enemies likeDry Bones andGreapers. There are also several rooms containing puzzles and challenges that, when solved, give clues as to what the password needed to open the treasure cellar is. AShamanmerchant can also be found, who can additionally tell the player how close the password was to being correct. King Calamari must be defeated before being able to proceed to the ship's lower portion.

The lower portion is almost completely submerged and filled with territorial sea creatures. This section is ruled by the infamous pirateJonathan "Johnny" Jones and his crew ofBandana Reds andBandana Blues.

Password hints[edit]

A password is needed to open the door to King Calamari. There are six rooms prior to the password room which each contain a puzzle that give a hint of what the password is. The password itself is "pearls".

  • "The adventurer Indigo's memo: There is an "s" in the word."
  • "The adventurer Indigo Jr.'s memo: It is found on the bed of the ocean."
  • "The 2nd expedition team's memo: It has two vowels."
  • "The search party Onyx's memo: It is very valuable."
  • "The 4th investigation crew's memo: "It" is actually a "they."
  • "The treasure hunter Elan's memo: The "R" comes before the "L."
