Sugarstars are shiny, geometric enemies inSuper Mario Bros. Wonder. They are first introduced in the levelThe Sugarstar Trial: Across the Night Sky, a level where many of them appear. Sugarstars later appear inThe Final Test Wonder Gauntlet andThe Final-Final Test Badge Marathon. They fly around in a circular pattern, often forming together to make a wave-like motion. They come in two colors, withPurple Sugarstars being speedy whileGreen Sugarstars are much slower. When one gets hit, instead of being defeated entirely, it regenerates its crystal body after a few seconds. They also emit a sparkly trail as they soar. Sugarstars cannot be jumped on or eliminated by bubbles, but they can be destroyed byfireballs,Drill Mario's drill, orInvincible form.

Their design references the Japanese sugar candykonpeitō, much likeStar Bits.
