"Straw of Doom" is a theme composed forPaper Mario: Color Splash. It is a series of rising, discordant violin stings, being a soundalike of the shower theme heard inPsycho.[1] It plays inPort Prisma, during the scene whereToad gets his colors sucked out by aSlurp Guy, and in the flashback ofBowser being covered inblack paint. This track is available in thePrisma Museum under the Port Prisma record.
An arrangement titled "Straw of Doom (Reprise)" plays in theIndigo Underground when battling theShunned Guy. This version has a different introduction, is pitched differently, does not have the backing violin, and features a pounding heartbeat-like sound throughout. It and "Blackout" are the only battle themes not to have a low health variant. This track is also found in the Prisma Museum, under the Indigo Underground record.
