Straw Heads are undead scarecrow-like enemies encountered on theSunken Ship inSuper Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars andits remake. They are a variation on theHobgoblin enemy found earlier in the game. Their name likely comes fromRawhead, an entity in folklore similar to a hobgoblin. Straw Heads are very uncommon to encounter. They are fairly weak, though they are not weak to fire despite being scarecrows. They attack withStench andScarecrow Funk, which can inflict thePoison andScarecrow status effects respectively.
