Stone (status effect)

Stone is a status effect inPaper Mario andMario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle.

InPaper Mario,Mario gains this status when he uses aStone Cap. The animation for the Stone status depicts him crouched in his defense position. While in Stone form, he is impervious to enemy attacks, but also prevents Mario from moving, leaving only his partner to attack. While wearing theFeeling Fine Badge, Stone will always end on Mario's next turn. Whether this is a glitch or not is currently unknown.

Stone (status effect) from Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle

The status effect returns inMario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle as a Super Effect, where it prevents inflicted characters from acting at all for one turn, combining the effects ofHoney,Ink, andFreeze. UnlikePaper Mario's Stone status, affected characters can still take damage. It is used byRabbid Luigi,Rabbid Mario, andRabbid Yoshi. Because it is a rather powerful status effect, the only enemy who uses it isPhantom, and he uses it through his Stone Deaf Technique.
