Starshine Beach Galaxy is agalaxy located inWorld 4 ofSuper Mario Galaxy 2 and itsNintendo Switchport. The galaxy is beach-themed and has some elements fromSuper Mario Sunshine'sIsle Delfino, includingPiantas that can hurl the player to other parts of the galaxy and a statue similar to theGrand Pianta Statue inDelfino Plaza. The tower in this galaxy also bears a resemblance to theShine Tower fromGelato Beach. The galaxy is also slightly shaped like a dolphin, much like Isle Delfino, and the background music uses similar instrumentation toSuper Mario Sunshine'sDelfino Plaza music.Yoshi is also found in this galaxy.Crabbers andLakitus are common enemies.Dash Peppers andBlimp Fruits are also found in this galaxy.

Water Sphere Coral Planet[edit]
The Water Sphere Coral Planet[1] takes place in a small tower surrounded by water and colorful coral. There is aLaunch Star below the tower which launchesMario down to the Starshine Beach Planet. It also bears a slight resemblance to the Water Planets fromGood Egg Galaxy.
Tropical Cloud Tower Planet[edit]
The Tropical Cloud Tower Planet[1] is a huge planet inhabited byPiantas. Crabs and aLakitu can be found in the surface. Underwater, there areCheep Cheeps,Bloopers, aClampy andGringills. There is a tower on the west side of the planet. On top of it is a tree. To the right of the starting point is a hill with a small hut-like structure. In the center of the planet is a Pianta fountain and on the east side is a big underwater section with a bottle-like floating platform and a big underwater structure which rises above the water.
Coin Room Brick Flat Brown Planet[edit]
The Coin Room Brick Flat Brown Planet[1] can be found in aWarp Pipe surrounded by pink flowers. A? Coin is found in this room, and if Mario collects three sets of coins within the time limit, he will be grantedStar Bits.
Petit Porter Planet A[edit]
This bonus planet is inhabited byCrabbers, and if Mario defeats them all within the time limit, he gets three1-Up Mushrooms.

Green Stars[edit]
Green Star 1[edit]
The first Green Star is found during theSurf, Sand, and Silver Stars mission. It is located above a? Block which is located atop a palm tree, next to the floating buoy. The player must use theBlimp Fruit to reach the tree and then use the Flutter Jump to reach the Green Star. Alternatively, the player can reach it without a Blimp Fruit, which is done by Flutter Jumping and then dismounting (or performing a Backward Somersault followed by a Spin Jump or a Triple Jump, without Yoshi) onto the palm tree, performing a Backward Somersault onto the ? Block, and then again followed by a Spin Jump to collect the Green Star.

Green Star 2[edit]
The second Green Star is also found during theSurf, Sand, and Silver Stars mission. It is located near the tower where theCloud Flower switch is, above the ocean. The player needs to useDash Yoshi to run towards the Green Star, and then perform a timed Flutter Jump followed by a somersault off of Yoshi to reach the star.

Green Star 3[edit]
The third Green Star is found during theClimbing the Cloudy Tower mission. They have to activate theground-pound switch on the top of the tower to make aCloud Flower appear. The player has to use the Cloud Flower as well as theleaf raft, and go to the floating trampoline that is located nearby this tower (the trampoline should be facing upwards, where the Green Star's shadow should be in the small space). Once the player fixes the angle at which the trampoline faces, they should proceed to jump on it and get launched into the air. From there, the player should continuously create clouds until they reach the Green Star.

Notes[edit]
- The clouds that appear in the background of this galaxy are identical to the ones that appear around Isle Delfino.
- If this galaxy is hacked and viewed in a level editor, one can view aDry Bones in the air off one side of the galaxy, above the sky. It is impossible to see it during actual gameplay, as it is right above a death plane and immediately dies upon loading the galaxy.[2]
