Thestar menu is a menu that first appeared inMario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and its3DS remake,Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey, replacingStuffwell fromMario & Luigi: Partners in Time and thesuitcase fromMario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. Here, the player can select a total of six options aligned by stars (hence the menu's name), view the amount ofcoins they currently have, view the current play time (this is not present in the remake), and, when it becomes available, thebadge meter. In the remake, the player can also check the settings to switch between Normal andEasy Mode.
The star menu is accessed by pressing
.Starlow explains how to use it once the player freesLuigi in theTrash Pit and defeats the twoGoombules right after freeing him, and runs it afterward throughout the rest of the game.
A similar menu appears inMario & Luigi: Dream Team andMario & Luigi: Paper Jam; they are not referred to as the "star menu" in those games, however, only being referred to as "menu".
Options[edit]
In every game the menu has appeared, it has a total of six options, though the layout of them differs between each game.
Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story /Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey[edit]
