Stage 6-8 is the eighth and final level of theAirplane of theGame Boy version ofDonkey Kong. The level is a boss battle withDonkey Kong.

Layout[edit]

Mario starts off above thespring on the left. There is a large platform on the bottom of the level. There are four platforms above the first platform, one without a spring, one with a spring on each side.Mario can use the springs tojump onto the higher platforms on each side above the lower platforms. Donkey Kong stands on a platform in the middle with two platforms on each side of the middle platform andPauline on a platform above him.

Enemies[edit]

Battle[edit]

Donkey Kong once again throwsbarrels to try to defeat Mario.Wind constantly blows to the right, which can make him fall into thepit if he does not move. Like the last battles, Mario must avoid the barrels, then pick them up when they are stationary. He must then make it to Donkey Kong and throw the barrel at him to damage him. Once Donkey Kong has been hit three times, he is defeated and he falls down, finishing the level, but he gets back up and takes Pauline away again.

Cutscene after level completion[edit]

TheAirplane lands onto anIceberg, andDonkey Kong andDonkey Kong Jr. can be seen running off of the plane withMario right behind them. Mario then stops and looks behind to see aFaiachū step off the airplane and starts to melt theIce Blocks they are standing on due to its fiery body. Mario then panics and runs away from the Faiachū. The cutscene then ends and the player is given lives based on their score.
