Mario starts off on some flat ground where he must go over andjump up to some platforms above somespikes, while avoiding jacks being thrown by Donkey Kong. He must then jump up to another platform, then wait for the moving platform to move towards him so he can use it to ride it to the top. There are two platforms at the top for Mario to stand on: one on the left, and one on the right. Mario has to wait for Donkey Kong Jr. to pull the switch to activate the bridge so he can cross it while still watching out for jacks. If Donkey Kong Jr. pulls the switch again and Mario falls to the ground he started on, however, he will be defeated.
