- “When your rivals are in an awesome area, join 'em with Springo Candy!”
- —MC Ballyhoo,Mario Party 8
TheSpringo Candy is a greenCandy inMario Party 8. It has a picture of a spring on the wrapper, and when a player uses it, their torso downward morphs into a spring. This makes them a "Springo" character and allows them to bounce to an opponent's space chosen by the dart wheel. This is similar to landing on theWarp Space fromMario Party 4 or using theKlepto Capsule fromMario Party 5 (while also landing on aCapsule Space).
Springo Candy normally costs 20coins, but this is reduced to 10 coins if theCandy Shop is selling candy at discounted prices. The Candy is found onDK's Treetop Temple,Goomba's Booty Boardwalk,King Boo's Haunted Hideaway, andKoopa's Tycoon Town.
If Springo Candy is used during a Tag Battle, the dart wheel will show only the opposing team, as players cannot jump to their corresponding teammates. If the Candy is used in Duel Battle or Star Battle Arena mode, the dart wheel does not occur as the opponent is the only player to whom the user can jump.
