TheSpring of Purification is a location inPaper Mario: The Origami King. It is one of five hot springs offered inShangri-Spa. It is arguably the easiest to find and use, although it must be visited at least twice. It is found in the entrance building, to the left of the main hall. This spring is supposedly effective against rips and tears. There is aShangri-Spa Toad next to a stamp booth. IfMario walks past after using the spring, the Toad reminds him to stamp for theStamp Card. There is aKoopa Troopa near the spring, on his break.
The first time the spring is used, Mario simply needs to walk into it. As a bonus, all of hisHP is quickly restored.Olivia is shocked Mario went in so quickly and wonders what would happen if she went in. Eventually, she decides to slowly drop in. After a while, she is finally able to relax. Mario is now able to use the stamping station nearby to get his first stamp.
AfterBowser Jr. and hisJunior Clown Car are cut into pieces byScissors, Mario, Olivia, and Kamek rush the dismembered pieces of Bowser Jr. to the Spring of Purification, only to find threeorigamiChargin' Chucks occupying the hot spring, refusing to get out. After Mario defeats the Chargin' Chucks,Kamek places the pieces of Bowser Jr. into the hot spring. The pieces sink into the hot spring, and Bowser Jr. resurfaces, pieced back together, but he is still crisped and grimy, requiring the group to use theotherhotsprings around the resort. This spring does not need to be visited again, although doing so will restore all of Mario's HP once more.
