Special skill (Mario Kart Tour)

Jump to navigationJump to searchInMario Kart Tour, every driver,kart andglider has aspecial skill that grants particular advantages during a race, such as special items or bonus points.
Driver skills
For drivers, a special skill refers to aunique item that only certain characters can obtain fromItem Boxes. As of version 2.6.0, if a Super driver reaches level 5 or a High-End driver reaches level 4, they unlock an improved version of their special skill (with a "+" symbol added on its name). Starting with version 2.8.0, Normal drivers are also eligible for an improved special skill at level 7. The following table classifies drivers by their special skill.

Kart skills
Kart skills increase the duration of speed boosts and the amount of points resulted from performing a certain technique, such asRocket Starts,Jump Boosts andSlipstreams, or using aDash Panel. The following table classifies karts by their special skill and shows how many base points that skill awards per kart rarity.

Glider skills
Glider skills increase the chances of obtaining a certain item fromItem Boxes, as well as the number of points obtained from using that item. In the case of offensive items, such asBananas,Green Shells orBloopers, bonus points are only awarded by successfully landing hits with them. The following table classifies gliders by their special skill and shows how many base points that skill awards per glider rarity.
