TheSpecial Dice Block Space (Dice Block Space inMario Party 9) is aspace that is found inMario Party 9 andMario Party 10. The space has the appearance of aBlue Space. It gives the Captain0-1 Dice Block, a1-2-3 Dice Block, a4-5-6 Dice Block, a1-10 Dice Block, or aSlow Dice Block. It may also containMini Stars that the Captain will obtain, or it may trigger a Free-for-Allminigame as if the player landed on aFree-for-All Space.
The Special Dice Block Space returns inMario Party 10 with the same basic effect as inMario Party 9. However, it now activates a roulette and the player gets the correspondingDice Block, rather than being totally random. It appears in all three board-based modes of the game. It has the same visuals as it does inMario Party 9 in most modes, though it has a different appearance in theamiibo Party mode, where it has a blank Dice Block design on it. UnlikeMario Party 9, if there are 3 or 4 players, a hidden minigame box can also trigger a 1-vs.-2 or 3 minigame or a 2-vs.-2 minigame, in addition to a Free-for-All minigame.

- InMario Party 9, onBlooper Beach, landing on any of the three Special Dice Block Spaces on the Star Island will never give the Captain extra Mini Stars or trigger a Free-for-All minigame.
