Snoozorbs are large robots that appear as enemies inMario & Luigi: Partners in Time. They appear inShroob Castle, and are usually found sleeping, but wake up and attack when the Mario Bros. approach. While curled up, they resemblemetal balls. Their long, segmented arms are likely inspired by the robots from theStudio Ghibli filmCastle in the Sky.
Battle[edit]
Snoozorbs start the battleasleep, and thus do not attack until waken by the Bros.First Strikes will not wake them up. Once they have taken damage during the battle, they will wake up. Snoozorbs revived bySoul Bubbles are brought back in their sleeping state.
Snoozorbs have two attacks they can perform. Both of them involve releasing steam to show who they will attack; if the steam travels to their right,Mario is the target. If it is to their left, they will attackLuigi.
- Snoozorbs gather up energy before firing a laser at the Bros. If the energy gathers in a straight path, the laser will be fired directly at Mario or Luigi. If the energy is gathered in a spiral formation, the beam will travel over them instead. If the latter action is performed, the attacking Snoozorb will fire an additional laser directly at Mario or Luigi. Sometimes the laser will be aimed to the other character during the attack. This attack is dodged byjumping.
- Snoozorbs roll at Mario or Luigi and must be countered by using thehammer. After repelling the Snoozorb, it may continue to charge at the same character. After enough hits, the Snoozorb will return to their normal position in the battle. Snoozorbs do not take damage from countering them during the attack. Additionally, ifBaby Mario andBaby Luigi are not present, Snoozorbs will not perform this attack because of the inability to use hammers.
