Snaggles are aquatic enemies in theDonkey Kong Country series that resemble chubbygreat white sharks. They periodically jump high above the water, making a barking noise similar to a puppy's.
History[edit]
Donkey Kong Country Returns (3D /HD)[edit]
InDonkey Kong Country Returns and itsNintendo 3DS andNintendo Switch ports, Snaggles appear in levels of theBeach world and aRuins level,Damp Dungeon. They have a repeated pattern of peeking out of the water for a few seconds and then performing a high jump, attempting to biteDonkey Kong andDiddy Kong.
Snaggles have a variant namedYellow Snaggles, which immediately jump out the water, sometimes without prior warning. Alarger variant appears at the end of Damp Dungeon.
ThePrima Guide forDonkey Kong Country Returns 3D refers to Snaggles asNibbles;[1] however, the in-game gallery still refers to the enemy as Snaggles.
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze[edit]
InDonkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and itsNintendo Switch port, they appear inLost Mangroves andSea Breeze Cove. Snaggles act the same way as they did inDonkey Kong Country Returns on the surface, and chase theKongs if they see them underwater. Snaggles can only be defeated by theKongs throwing abarrel at it, or byCranky Kong's cane.
