Smogrins[1][2] areenemies that appear inSuper Mario Bros. Wonder. They are purple clouds with glowing red eyes and sharp-toothed grins. They move back and forth either horizontally or vertically, followed by a trail of several smaller faceless clouds. Smogrins are vulnerable to every attack method, although their trailing clouds can be destroyed without harming the main enemy. Smogrins have two variants: the medium-sizedHefty Smogrin and the large-sizedBig Smogrin. Neither of them feature the regular Smogrin's trailing clouds.

Naming[edit]
"Smogrin" is derived "smog" and "grin", alluding to their nature and expression, respectively.[2]
