Sky Arena is a race course in the gameMario Kart Arcade GP DX. It shares similarities toCloudtop Cruise fromMario Kart 8. The course's layout is similar toWaluigi Stadium fromMario Kart Arcade GP 2 that is mostly made up of twisty curves. The course is only available on 100cc.

The course has a few references toSuper Mario Galaxy andSuper Mario Galaxy 2, in addition to being set aboveAcorn Plains fromNew Super Mario Bros. U.

Course layout[edit]

The track takes place in the sky, withBowser'sairships and hot-air balloons sporting the Bowser emblem flying in the background. Diagonal mountains fromAcorn Plains inNew Super Mario Bros. U can be seen multiple times. The banner of the course reads: "Jr. Jr." with a picture of theJunior Clown Car on it, implying that the airships in this course are owned byBowser Jr.

The player starts out on an airship, where multi-coloredShy Guys spectate the race. First, the player must head down to the end of the airship, which features a ramp with aSuper Mario Galaxy-like yellow star booster. After that, the player reaches another airship, where a curve to the right leads to the first set ofItem Boxes and multi-colored banners featuring theKoopalings. After a curve to the right, the racers then enter another airship withFly Guys above the track, with a sign above the entrance reading "The road of pirates to Bowser's ship". Once the player exits, there is another ramp with a rainbow star booster.

Next, the player lands on a twisty road made out of clouds, which is similar toCloudtop Cruise. Item Boxes can be found about halfway through the cloud section. After the cloudy road, the player boards a bridge that goes uphill, leading them inside another airship. In this section, there is a sign featuring aParagoomba and aKoopa Paratroopa that reads "Cargo Bay". This airship features multi-colored gears and light blue smoke inside of it, withMonty Moles spectating the race. Then, the road curves to the right, where the player exits the airship with aGlide Ramp shortly after.

The player glides over another airship with cannons equipped on both sides. After that, the player curves right in a sandy road. Once the curve ends, the player enters a structure with a sign on the top, which reads "Control Room". Upon entry, the road turns into a carpet. The ceiling of this section features many propellers. After a split path, the player can reach a ramp with a star booster above it, which leads to theFinish Line.
