Ski Yoshi is a transformation ofYoshi inSuper Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island,its Game Boy Advance version andYoshi's Island DS. Unlike other transformations, which are triggered by entering amorph bubble, this form is attained when entering a house, and is not timed. Yoshi wearsskis, whileBaby Mario wears a winter cap version of his hat. In this form, Yoshi automatically moves in one direction, but is still able to jump. Yoshi can only lose the skis upon either a room transition or dying; however, if Yoshi does not land properly upon descent from a jump or hits an obstacle, he temporarily rolls into a snowball. In this state, Yoshi is invincible but cannot be controlled by the player or jump. As Yoshi rolls, the snowball in which he is enclosed increases in size until he breaks out, returning to his normal form.
