ASkeleton Bee[1][2] is anenemy inSuper Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. Skeleton Bees are found in only one level, theBee Hive Course, like withBeebee andBigbee. Skeleton Bees are tougher than their non-skeletal counterparts, as they can come back to life afterMario defeats them. Doing aSpin Jump and using aStar are the only ways to defeat them permanently. Also like their counterparts, they appear out of the hives in the background and move very slowly. In official artwork, they appear to have a normal, non-skeletal body and carry spears; however, in gameplay, the bottom half is able to be seen through as if they are completely composed of bones and do not carry spears at all. They are undead ancestors of Beebees.[3]
