History[edit]
Mario Kart: Super Circuit[edit]
InMario Kart: Super Circuit, three Shy Guy Tents are dotted as obstacles throughoutSunset Wilds near someDash Panels. They do not move on their own, and they affect racers only if they run into them. If a racer touches one, the tent breaks open, and aShy Guy with paint marks jumps onto the racer. These Shy Guys wear headdresses in the Japanese version. The Shy Guy then takes away several of the racer'scoins before hopping off. Shy Guy Tents respawn shortly after being hit.
Mario Kart Tour[edit]
Shy Guy Tents reappear inMario Kart Tour, due to Sunset Wilds making a return. However, unlike inMario Kart: Super Circuit, the tents are redesigned to more resemble prospector tents instead of tipis, and they are located on off-road sections of the track.Exploring Shy Guys take their place as obstacles on the actual course.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe[edit]
Shy Guy Tents reappear inGBA Sunset Wilds' reappearance inMario Kart 8 Deluxe in theBooster Course Pass with the same design as inMario Kart Tour. Shy Guys spectating the race are now present inside the tents.
