On Straight sections of the track, the player can tilt their Wii Remote forward to increase their character's speed. The course also features special boost lines, which are blue lines that appear on the track that the player can skate along to fill their special boost gauge. Once the gauge is full, the player can pressA Button to perform a special boost, which will give them a large increase in speed temporarily. The boost gauge an only be filled when the player is not currently storing a special boost, and only one can be stored at a time. The character that completes seven laps of the course in the fastest time wins the event.
