TheShop Key is an item inPaper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door andits Nintendo Switch remake. Mario is given permission by theTwilight Shop manager's wife to take whatever he needs from theTwilight Shop storage room, but the door to it is locked. The key, which is found past the fallen tree blocking his path inTwilight Trail, can be collected usingKoops'sShell Toss ability. Once unlocked, various helpful items can be found in the storage room. In addition, the room contains ablack chest which curses Mario with theTube ability, allowing him to roll under the fallen tree the Shop Key was found by and continue towardsCreepy Steeple.
