TheShiverian Elder is an elderly, race-lovingShiverian that appears inSuper Mario Odyssey. WhenMario first arrives at theSnowline Circuit, the Shiverian Elder states that theBound Bowl Grand Prix cannot start without one more Shiverian Racer. Mario is then able to reach the dark room to his upper left, whereone lonely Shiverian who can becaptured resides. Capturing the Shiverian and talking to the Shiverian Elder lets Mario enter the race as the Shiverian.
According to the Snow Kingdom's brochure, the Shiverian Elder is the only person allowed to make theFrost-Frosted Cake.
