Sacred Pose
- Not to be confused withForm.
Sacred Poses (originally known simply asposes) are additional forms that appear after a bossmicrogame in subsequent playthroughs of stages inWarioWare: Smooth Moves andWarioWare: Move It! They act as an intermission between levels of a stage, offering a single position that can be performed with theWii Remote (andNunchuk if applicable) orJoy-Con in a short space of time. After encountering a pose, the player will unlock its corresponding pose card in theTemple of Form inSmooth Moves and theMuseum inMove It!
InSmooth Moves, there are 81 different poses to collect in single player. Collecting them all unlocks a new message on the Town Bulletin Board. There are also Commemorative Poses exclusive to the multiplayer modeBungee Buddies. These poses feature two characters as opposed to one, and do not have names or pose cards.
InMove It!, if the player gets aGame Over during the first playthrough of a stage, they are given the opportunity to perform a type of Sacred Pose called aSecond-Chance Stance. If the player is able to hold the pose when three seconds have passed, they will regain all of their lives and resume where they left off; otherwise, the player will have to start over again. Unlike inSmooth Moves, Sacred Poses are tied to specific stages. There are 104 Sacred Poses in total.
