Rocketbarrel Barrage
Rocketbarrel Barrage isDiddy Kong'sFinal Smash inSuper Smash Bros. Brawl andSuper Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS /Wii U. It is based on hisRocketbarrel Boost ability fromDonkey Kong 64. By activating the move, Diddy puts on hisRocketbarrel Pack, takes out hisPeanut Popguns, and starts flying around the stage. The player can control Diddy's flight and press an attack button for Diddy to launchpeanuts, though he automatically fires a peanut every few seconds. While using Rocketbarrel Barrage, Diddy can damage opponents by ramming into them. Diddy can KO himself if he flies off the screen, unlike similar Final Smashes likeSuper Sonic andCharizard'sMega Evolution.
When the attack ends, Diddy Kong's Rocketbarrel Pack explodes and flies off in random directions. Before it explodes, Diddy Kong flashes as an indicator of such. Upon exploding, Diddy is flung slightly in the air and is put in a helpless state: such does not occur inSuper Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS /Wii U. The peanuts left over from the attack can be used to recover a small amount of health.
While this Final Smash does not return inSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate, Diddy Kong's blog on the website erroneously mentionsHyper Rocketbarrel, his new Final Smash, utilizing his popguns.[1]
