TheRed Fire isMario's signaturekart inMario Kart: Double Dash!!. It is a default middleweight kart unlocked by default. The Red Fire has a red and blue paint job, reflecting Mario's color scheme, with his trademark letter "M" on the top of the kart and blue tires that say "Mario &Luigi". The Red Fire has average stats all around, and has the same stats as theWaluigi Racer, though the Red Fire is thinner, lighter (being the same weight as theHeart Coach andBarrel Train), and less vulnerable toshells and other items. Although the stars list its acceleration as three, the Red Fire's acceleration is actually tied alongside theTurbo Birdo,Bullet Blaster, andParade Kart. The Red Fire's off-road statistic is identical to theTurbo Yoshi's. The Red Fire's counterpart is theGreen Fire, which isLuigi's kart. Both has an identical engine sound to the Bullet Blaster. The Red Fire's horn sound is also identical to Mario'sPipe Frame horn inMario Kart: Super Circuit.
