Rawks[1] areenemies inDonkey Kong Country Returns and itsNintendo 3DS andNintendo Switch ports. Rawks can be found in theJungle world, theRuins, and theGolden Temple; in the ports only, the can be found in theCloud world as well. Their name comes from onomatopoeia for a parrot's cry, similar toSquawks. It may also relate to the bird, hawk. Rawks are the larger, red-feathered variant ofAwks, also sporting purple talons and yellow feathers on their back. When a Rawk noticesDonkey Kong, it charges at him and attempts to injure him. Like Awks, they can also be defeated by beingjumped on, or by utilizing any other attack method. Unlike Awks, Rawks can survive a shot from Diddy's peanuts, and are stunned only after being shot.
