TheRain Cloud is an item that appears inMario Kart Arcade GP and its sequels,Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 andMario Kart Arcade GP DX. When used, a cloud will appear above the opponent's head and make thekart harder to control. The item is unlocked sometimes by winning theMario Highway race in Grand Prix mode for the first time.

• A similar acting item called theStorm Cloud appears inPac-Man World Rally (a successor toMario Kart Arcade GP focusing solely on thePac-Man brand and otherNamco properties) hovering over opponents and making it harder for them to be controlled;^[1] this was likely inspired by the Rain Cloud and other cloud items inMario Kart Arcade GP.
