TheROB-BLS isR.O.B.'s default signaturekart inMario Kart DS. It is a round, hollow kart with five round holes and a block on each, coming in red, green, white, yellow, and blue (and has the emblem printed on each of them), resembling the trays and blocks used by the actual R.O.B. accessory to playStack-Up; the "-BLS" in the name comes from "HVC-BLS," the Japanese product ID forStack-Up. The ROB-BLS has the highest top speed in the game, tied with theHurricane. It also has great handling (tied with theMushmellow andStreamliner), average weight, moderate acceleration and low drift and items.
The ROB-BLS, alongside R.O.B. himself and theROB-LGS, differs between regions. In Japanese versions of the game, the kart is white and red, as opposed to being all around a darker shade of gray, which is made to highlight R.O.B.'s regional differences.
The kart is unlocked forLuigi andWario as well when the player gets gold trophies in all Nitro or Retro Courses in 150cc, and becomes available for everyone else when gold trophies are obtained in every cup in Mirror Mode.
