Quick Swim
TheQuick Swim[1] is a move appearing only inSuper Mario Odyssey. It is performed by pressing during an underwaterGround Pound, much like adive in the air.Mario stretches both arms forward, then swings them down to his sides to propel himself in the direction that he is facing. This move vaguely resembles thebutterfly stroke. Mario cannot change direction or altitude during a Quick Swim. The move is short and reverts to normal movement very quickly. If Mario collides with a wall during a Quick Swim, he bounces off and is briefly stunned. This is also similar to diving. If this happens at the surface of water, Mario gets bounced up into the air before landing back in the water for the stun animation. The move emulates the underwater movement seen inSuper Mario 64 up toSuper Mario Galaxy 2.
