InPaper Mario, it is in theToad Town Tunnels, behind some destroyable blocks, and is only accessible afterMario obtains theSuper Hammer. InPaper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, it is given byProfessor Frankly, serving as a tutorial on how to equip and use badges. Additional Power Smash badges can be bought at thePianta Parlor for thirty-fourpianta tokens with theSilver Card, and can be rarely dropped after battle byBuzzy Beetles,Spike Tops,Spinias,Spanias, andSpunias. If Mario equips the badge, he is able to use Power Smash, ahammer attack that requires twoFP to use. If theAction Command is timed correctly, Mario deals a single hammer attack that deals two more points of damage than a regular timed hit with a hammer. Unlike other hammer moves (excludingPiercing Blow), the move has multipleStylish moves that make Mario perform multiple backflips in succession, if timed correctly. Equipping multiple copies of the badge will double the amount of FP previously required to use it, but also increases the move's damage by 2 for each equipped badge.
