Pink Coins are the first kind ofcolor coins inSuper Mario Run. There are five coins in each course, excludingPiranha Plant Field,Make the Cut!, andRed Block Run, and they are positioned such that collecting them is relatively easy. As with all color coins, collecting a Pink Coin is astylish move, and a Pink Coin is worth 10coins at the results screen of a course. If the player collects all five Pink Coins of a course in one run, they unlock the ability to collectPurple Coins in that course. Collecting all of the Pink Coins in the game unlocks the ability to purchase thePink Coin Pipe, which takes the player to the special courseChase the Snaking Coins. InWorld ★, identical★Pink Coins replace normal Pink Coins.
Pink Coins are also present in the Toad Rally mode, where in addition to their normal appearances they replace Purple Coins andBlack Coins in segments based on the layouts of courses when Purple and Black Coins are present. Collecting a Pink Coin causes a Toad to start cheering for the player, in addition to being a stylish move and thus contributing to starting aCoin Rush.
During the event from December 20, 2023 to March 15, 2024 promotingSuper Mario Bros. Wonder, when Coin Rush was activated by aWonder Flower in Toad Rally, all Pink Coins were replaced byflower coins.
