Picky Eater is one ofDribble & Spitz'smicrogames inWarioWare: Twisted! and returns as one ofPenny's microgames inWarioWare Gold. The name comes from the term "picky eater", which is an eating disorder that prevents the consumption of certain foods.

Gameplay[edit]

The player controls a sushi conveyor belt with many different objects on it and a man standing in front of the center of the belt. The man wants to eat red sushi, as indicated by a thought bubble to the left (his right). There are two steps to perform. The player has to rotate the conveyor belt by tilting the system so that the sushi is beneath the man. The belt rotates in the same direction the system does, with the maximum and minimum angles being just past the final plate. Then, the person lowers their hands to grab an item when the player presses. If there is an object below the man, he eats it. Otherwise, he returns to normal. If the man eats sushi, the player wins. If the man eats anything else, the player loses. The game specifically checks for the eating animation; selecting the correct item is not enough to complete the microgame. If the man does eat sushi, his eyes turn into hearts and a ring of hearts appears around him.

WarioWare: Twisted![edit]

• 1st level difficulty: There are three to four sushi plates.
• 2nd level difficulty: There are two sushi plates. Two shaded yellow check stand in front of the conveyor belt, equidistant from the man. They block the player's view of the plates between the edge of the screen and the man.
• 3rd level difficulty: There is only one sushi plate. Four chefs stand in front of the conveyor belt, with each group of two chefs equidistant from the man. They block the player's view of the plates except for where the man is, though there is space between the two chefs of a group to peek through.

WarioWare Gold[edit]

Sometimes, the man wants yellow sushi, and in such cases the sushi on the conveyor belt is yellow. If the man eats anything that is not sushi, he spits it back out.

• 1st level difficulty: There are three to four sushi plates.
• 2nd level difficulty: There are two sushi plates. Two darkly shaded chefs eating sushi stand in front of the conveyor belt equidistant from the man. They block the player's view of the plates between the edge of the screen and the man.
• 3rd level difficulty: There is only one sushi plate. A second plate has sushi with the other fish color. It is an incorrect item, though it prompts the man to be disappointed rather than spit the item out. The chefs from the 2nd level difficulty are present.
