Paper Bob-ombs are paper forms ofBob-ombs that appear as enemies inMario & Luigi: Paper Jam. Paper Bob-ombs are commonly found atDoop Doop Dunes, with higher level Paper Bob-ombs found atSunbeam Plains and during the missionFinal Smash inNeo Bowser Castle. Paper Bob-ombs are among the few enemies in the game whose regular counterparts cannot be fought normally;King Bob-omb does use regular Bob-ombs as projectiles.

Rare, shiny variants can also appear in place of the regular Paper Bob-ombs, and have higher stats like all shiny paper enemies. The Shiny Paper Bob-ombs at Doop Doop Dunes will always drop aMushroom and aDouble 1-Up Mushroom; the ones at Sunbeam Plains and Neo Bowser Castle always drop aSuper Mushroom and aShiny Battle Card when defeated.

Battle[edit]

Paper Bob-ombs have simple attack patterns, ramming into the Mario Bros. in order to damage them. The Mario Bros. must jump over them, jumping on them will cause them to explode. After attacking a Paper Bob-omb, its fuse will light, and its next attack will result in an explosion which will defeat the Paper Bob-omb and may leave its targetDizzy, although the Paper Bob-omb can be hammered into another enemy. If a Paper Bob-omb is defeated by this explosion, it will not perform this kamikaze attack.
