Pak E. Derms areelephant-like creatures that first appear inYoshi's Story. They can always be seen carrying a stop sign with which they do not allow theYoshis to pass.
History[edit]
Yoshi's Story[edit]
InYoshi's Story, Pak E. Derms stand in the middle of the path Yoshi is taking, and will move to the other path if Yoshi moves to the other path. To pass, Yoshi has toGround Pound the ground, and the Pak E. Derm will fall on his head, allowing Yoshi to pass. Yoshi has to act quickly because Pak E. Derm will soon flip back upright. Yoshi encounters three Pak E. Derms in only one level—theP. 1-Beginning levelTreasure Hunt.
