History[edit]
Super Mario 3D World /Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury[edit]
P Panels are objects inSuper Mario 3D World andSuper Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. They appear mainly in subareas that rewardGreen Stars. The first set of P Panels appears inDouble Cherry Pass after the first set ofBlocksteppers, where they reveal the second Green Star. Two sets of P Panels then appear inBeep Block Skyway. The first one appears just before the split path with the first Green Star and revealscoins; the second one appears just before theGoal Pole and reveals the third Green Star. Two more sets of P Panels appear inLava Rock Lair: one near the beginning of thelevel, and another within the level'sMystery Box; if fewer than two or three players are playing, (a)Brolder(s) must be thrown onto the remaining switch(es) to collect the first and second Green Stars, respectively. A single P Panel also appears in bothCakewalk Flip andFort Fire Bros. in the areas where the second respective Green Stars can be found. Yet another set of P Panels appears inRainbow Run in the area where the first Green Star can be found. The final set of P Panels appears in the third room ofMystery House Marathon; if fewer than three players are playing, Brolders must be thrown onto the remaining switches to collect the room's Green Star.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker[edit]
P Panels return inCaptain Toad: Treasure Tracker, where a set appears inDouble Cherry Palace; hitting both of them causes a wall to recede and allows the player to proceed through the level. The next set appears inDouble Cherry Spires, and raises the smaller tower next to thePower Star when activated. Another set of P Panels appears inPoison Canal Cannon Run, where they are used to unveil the firstSuper Gem.

They will tick several times before a beep indicates that one set of blocks will disappear and the other appear. On top of that, you have to use Double Cherries to create clones to reach all of the collectibles. For example, two P Panels early into the level cause Coins to appear." – Musa, Alexander, and Geson Hatchett (November 22, 2013).Super Mario 3D World PRIMA Official Game Guide.Prima Games (American English).
