InPaper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, it is found inRiverside Station, in one of the paths of the maze that can only be crossed inMario's tube form. There is a 1 in 300 chance that this badge can be dropped by or stolen fromDark Koopatrols andElite X-Nauts. If it is equipped by Mario, it lowers his defense by one point, increasing the amount of damage he takes from all enemy attacks, but it also boosts his attack by one, increasing the damage of all of hisjump andhammer attacks. The badge's effects stack if multiple copies of it are equipped, rendering Mario's defense power below 0 if no defense-increasing badges are equipped to counteract it.P-Up, D-Down P is a variation of the badge that only affects Mario'spartner.
