Off-line is one ofMona'smicrogames inWarioWare: D.I.Y. It reappears inWarioWare Gold, where it is one ofKat & Ana's microgames. The microgame's name is a pun off of the wordoffline, which means not using the Internet, or not being logged in to a website.
Gameplay[edit]
The player has to remove all the clothespins by tapping them to make the clothes fall into the basket. The clothspins are static, and the basket moves back and forth near the bottom of the screen. The basket bounces off the edges. Articles of clothing include socks, which have one clothespin, and undershirts, which have two clothespins. All clothespins of an article of clothing have to be removed before it begins to fall. If an article of clothing falls past the basket or is left on the line, or the player misses one, they lose the game when time runs out.
InWarioWare Gold, there are additional variations of this microgame in its levels. The basis remains the same, but the game now takes place against an open sky and there are more kinds of articles of clothing. Some of the articles of clothing are not clothes, a plush cat is among them. The player is additionally allowed to swipe down on the articles of clothing to pull them off the clothespins. This has the same effect as tapping the clothespins, with the game picking the clothespin closes to the swipe if there is more than one. When the microgame is cleared, a rainbow appears in the background. When it is failed, the background turns solid grey.
- 1st level difficulty: There are three articles of clothing with one clothespin each, and a large basket that spans the entire screen but does not move.
- 2nd level difficulty: There are two articles of clothing, one with one clothespin and the other with two, and a smaller basket.
- 3rd level difficulty: There are three articles of clothing, two with one clothespin and the third with two, and an even-smaller basket. However, one of the articles is still soggy; the player loses if they drop it, whether it lands in the basket or not. If it does land in the basket, a blue odor comes out from the basket.
Wario Kard specifies that the name of the cat plush when it is soggy is Soggy Cat.
