TheObservatory is a room in Area Three ofthe mansion inLuigi's Mansion andits remake. It can be entered from theAstral Hall once the lights turn on. The telescope is the featured object within the Observatory, besides a small dresser with a globe on top near the door. WhenLuigi looks through the telescope and sees themoon, the walls fade away, allowing Luigi to enter a small balcony. Luigi sucks up aShining Ghost and shoots it at the moon, blowing it up in the process. After that, a winding path of light appears, which leads to a halved moon whereMario's Star is located. When Luigi enters this area, his icon on theGame Boy Horror's map will move beyond the mansion's walls, eventually becoming only visible when the map is turned. A gold bar can be found in the drawer.
