Mt. Minigames is a location inMario Party Superstars. It is located outside theVillage Square and serves as the setting for the game'sminigame mode. Characters travel there from the Village Square by boat, operated by a greenToad (replacing the raft toMini-Game Island in the originalMario Party), where the player can play the game's 100 minigames in one of seven modes, referred to as courses: Free Play, Sports and Puzzles, Coin Battle, Tag Match, Trio Challenge, Survival, or Daily Challenge.
Free Play[edit]
Hosted byToad, players can play freely between all100 minigames, excluding the five additional item minigames. The minigames are categorized into Free-for-All, 1v3, 2v2, Duel, Coin, Sports, and Puzzles, High-Score and Favorite minigames that the player has favorited. After a minigame is played, wins and losses are recorded until the players exit Free Play. Players can also play a random minigame from the selection by pressing
. Additionally, minigames with multiple stages can have a specific one chosen before entering the tutorial screen. When completing a minigame in Free Play mode, players have the option to choose a random minigame, play it again, choose another one, select a different Mt. Minigames course, enter Mario Party mode, or return to the Village Square. This course is set in a brick building.
Endless Mode[edit]
Some minigames can be played in Endless Mode, where the minigame only ends once all players are defeated or until the highest possible score is reached. The highest score is recorded and can be seen when Endless Mode is highlighted. The minigames featuring Endless Mode include:
Sports and Puzzles[edit]
Hosted by Toad, players can play all six Sports and Puzzles minigames, alongside custom rules that can be chosen before playing. This course is set in a castle with flowing water. The minigames found here and their custom rules are listed below.

Score Attack[edit]
Score Attack is a mode available in this course, where the player can play the Puzzle minigames in single-player in order to achieve a high score. It is similar to the High-Score minigames found in Free Play, but no opponents are present. The highest score is recorded and can be seen when the Score Attack version of the minigame is selected on the minigame menu.
Coin Battle[edit]
Hosted by aLakitu, players ride minecarts and must face off against each other in 5, 10 or 15 rounds of minigames. While Free-for-all minigames are mostly played, 1v3, 2v2 or Coin minigames sometimes occur, with the former being three players against the one currently in first place. Lakitu will announce if there is a tie after the first minigame. After Free-for-All minigames, coins are awarded according to the rank of the players: 10 for 1st, 3 for 2nd, 2 for 3rd, and none for last. The final round always consists of a Bonus Minigame, where all coins earned are doubled. The highest score for coins collected for each number of rounds is recorded and shown on the screen before starting Coin Battle. This course is set in a gold-plated building.
Tag Match[edit]
Hosted by ared-shelledKoopa Paratroopa, Tag Match pits two teams of two against each other in 2 vs. 2 minigames, excluding coin minigames. Players must win either 3, 5, or 10 Stars in these minigames to win. For the first round, Koopa Paratroopa spins a roulette wheel to decide the minigame, but afterwards, a member from the team with fewer Stars chooses the next one. After the Star quota is reached by one or both teams, the course ends and the players return to Mt. Minigames. Any Star obtained by the player is stored and converted to 30 coins, as if winning an actual Star in Mario Party mode. This course is set in a stone castle, and takes place in a stone cavern above water with the players riding minecarts. Tag Match is unavailable to players playing in Online Play without friends, but is still available in Offline Play with CPUs.
Trio Challenge[edit]
Hosted byKamek, Trio Challenge is a challenge mode which tasks the player(s) into completing 1 vs. 3 minigames in one of six stages. Each stage consists of five minigames that must be won in a row. If the player(s) lose a minigame, they must restart the stage from the beginning. For each minigame in a stage, the foe(s) get increasingly tougher. Stages 1, 2 and 3 are playable with up to three players who are on the team side, while Stages 4, 5 and 6 are only playable with one player who is on the solo side. This course is set inside a stone plateau, and takes place in a stone cavern abovepoison. Trio Challenge is unavailable to players playing in Online Play without friends, but is still available in Offline Play with CPU teammates.

Survival[edit]
Survival is a single-player online-only course hosted byBowser Jr. riding hisJunior Clown Car. The player must face off against other players in online matchmaking and win minigames to keep raising their streak of wins. The player battles it out in mostly 4-Player minigames, but sometimes Bowser Jr. will force the next one to be a Duel minigame. In the case of a 4-Player minigame, the players can vote for their desired minigame from a random selection of three minigames, with a random spin choosing from the voted minigames. In the case of a Duel minigame, the players will not get to vote; Bowser Jr. will randomly pick one of the four available minigames. If the player loses a minigame, their streak is lost and they must restart from zero wins. The highest score achieved is recorded and can be seen before the course begins, with the highest possible score being 999 wins in a row. After a player wins a minigame, they can choose to take a break and return to Mt. Minigames, which will save their score and allow them to resume from their current win streak when they play again. This course takes place abovelava with the players riding minecarts. The minigames available in this mode are listed below.

Daily Challenge[edit]
Daily Challenge is an online-only course hosted by a Lakitu. The player can choose between three packs of minigames that rotate daily. Each pack contains three minigames that follow a certain theme, such as sport-themed minigames or racing minigames. After choosing a pack, the player enters worldwide matchmaking to find other players. After four players connect or at least two are present when the timer expires, the mode begins, which itself is set in a mineshaft with the players riding minecarts. If the player wins a minigame, they receive a Star, and any Star obtained is stored and converted to 30 coins, as if winning an actual Star in Mario Party mode.
