Moving Mushrooms[1] are a type ofMushroom Platform inNew Super Mario Bros. They remain static at first, but whenMario (orLuigi) steps on one, they begin swaying and moving from one part of the level to another. A Moving Mushroom appears in secret areas inWorld 1-5 andWorld 7-6, and Mario can ride it to reach the thirdStar Coin in the former and the first Star Coin and ared-flag exit in the latter. Two larger Moving Mushrooms appear inWorld 3-2 after themidway point; Mario must ride them to reach the goal.
