Motor Rooter is a Duelminigame inMario Party 3 andMario Party Superstars.
Gameplay[edit]
Players attempt to reach the goal by racing withKoopa Shell-like hovercrafts in pipes. The players can move all around the inside of the pipes. On the way, there are acceleration panels shaped like red arrows that make the player speed up. There are alsoAmps that are indicated by lightning bolts on the central map. Their shock waves cover all but two of eight spaces the player can be riding on. If the player gets shocked, they are stunned and their speed suddenly decreases. The first player who reaches the goal wins. If neither player reaches the goal within the time limit, the minigame ends in a draw (though this is possible only in the European version).[1]
InMario Party Superstars, the minigame has a more futuristic appearance. Additionally, characters vocalize every time they move, speed up, or are shocked.
