TheMoon Stone is a stone shaped like a crescent moon that appears inPaper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Along with theSun Stone,Mario needs the Moon Stone to gain access toHooktail Castle. Both the Moon Stone and the Sun Stone are found inShhwonk Fortress and are protected byFuzzies.
In the GameCube version,Mayor Kroop refers to the Moon Stone and theSun Stone collectively asstone keys. In the Switch remake, they are collectively referred to as theSun and Moon Stones.
