Monettes
TheMonettes are a group of blonde cheerleaders led byMona. Though they all have identical appearances, they are all given names:Cathy,Mitchel,Nancy,Lisa,Marie,Emily,Lucy,Catherine, andSara. They appear during Mona's stage inWarioWare: Smooth Moves.
The Monettes first appear in the stage's introduction, where they practice a cheerleading routine with Mona inDiamond City. They later cheer for theDiamond City Roughs in their match againstTeam Dinosaur. During the match, a Roughs player namedBoy who is infatuated with Mona uses the encouragement made by the cheerleading team to score a winning touchdown. He later tries to confess his love to Mona, but fails to notice she has run away, and instead startles a nearby Monette.
The Monettes also appear during the stage proper, where they cheer for the player (or become disappointed when the player fails amicrogame) and hold up cards that show whichform to use for the next microgame.
Nine of the elevenSki bunnies inGame & Wario share their names with the Monettes.
