Molians[1] are a species of moles in the "Mole Patrol" game mode ofSuper Scope 6. They appear inSuper Mario: Yoshi no Road Hunting 1 manga, based onYoshi's Safari, another game that made use of theSuper Scope. They are little round creatures with big eyes, stubby limbs, and horn-like ears. They are completely blue or red. They are considered moles because they move through crater-like burrows.

To get back the Super Scope fromBertha,Mario is challenged to a whack-a-mole like game using the Molians that are infesting her garden: if Mario kills more Molians than Bertha, she will give back the Super Scope, otherwise, Mario will have to marry her. By the end of the game, Mario has killed 20 Molians, but Bertha killed one more than him. Already enjoying her prize, Bertha notices that Mario has managed to kill two Red Molians, which are worth double the points, so he actually won. Respecting the conditions, Bertha gives Mario the Super Scope.
